OSCON: OSCamp

I stopped by this hacker looking room to see what was going down. Geeks sitting in chairs formed in semi-circles talking and drawing diagrams. Ideas flying back and forth. Signs posted on the wall with a time and topic. If you are interested in a topic, come and join the discussion. Get bored? It is accepted that you have two feet[*] and can use them. What I stumbled upon is known as OSCAMP:

OC: OSCamp: "Welcome to the planning wiki for OSCAMP 2006: 'Free as in Freedom!' OSCAMP is a grassroots cooperative effort with O'Reilly. OSCAMP seeks to organize the fringe of activity that has grown up around OSCON during the last several years so that the whole event can rock even more! If you can see a way to add value to the event … just go for it and do it."

[*] It is called the "two feet rule". If you are not adding to the discussion or find it uninteresting, it is accepted that you will get up and leave. No hard feelings. :)
