I'm one of the adults going along on my son's school camping trip to Yosemite next week. Three glorious days of attempting to keep 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in line. My son came home the other day talking about one of the activities. Apparently one of the teachers is going to teach the kids how to hunt for Snipe. You don't use a gun or knife mind you. You venture out into the woods at night with a sack to catch a Snipe.
Sound like fun? Well, I've been camping a lot in my lifetime. I grew up mostly in Alaska and I never done heard of Snipe hunting in the middle of the night with a sack, so I did a Google search on the topic. Check out one of the first hits:
